Game Gen Weeks 8-9 (11/7/25)

Today I've made new art/animations in my platformer project.
On Monday this week, Ive finished my Mario attack animation on my own.
I was having trouble working on how the animation work, but my mentor showed me the The Spriters Resource website to show me the attack animation work.

The sprite for the attack animation shows Mario uses his Needle sword To attack his foes.

Now, I made some new art and animation for the items and enemies too!
Coins: for the first sprite change in the lesson, I've made the coins Round and appealing in the Game.

Goomba: i made the idle movement for the Goomba, plus i want add a gimmick that when Mario gets close to him, he starts looking at him when Mario moves in different directions.

Spiny: the colors i've gave to the spiny's skin a pinkish color to them in reference to it's apperence in the Super Mario Super Show!

Koopa: I've changed the Koopa's original sprite into the Super Mario world sprite because the original sprite in the lesson comes from the Super Mario All-stars game, which it doesn't look right. For the shell animation, in idle mode when mario hits the koopa, I added the eyes in the shell to look like he is hiding in and when the shell moves, I've changed the eyes to a dizzy look for it.


? blocks: For the blocks, i made the sprite of the Mario world block combines with the Mario Party Dice block(mainly around the edges).

Mushrooms: For the Health points, I've made 2 mushrooms In which the Heal mushroom is red and has a smile, while the Poison mushroom is purple and has a frowning/sad Face.
